Video Content Rules: How we helped #OdysseoYEG tap into Edmonton’s blogger community
Cavalia’s Odyssseo is a theatrical production of epic scale and beauty. They’re also an incredibly inspiring company to work with. My assignment: Find creative people and do creative things to tell our story online…GO!
When you have so many creative people operating in a sort of mystery land on stage and off, you would think content and coverage would come easily, and it does. We assisted Cavalia with bringing together Edmonton’s most influential online media through several initiatives (Connect with me if you want to know more about it), and let Cavalia do what they do best – envelop guests in an unparalleled experience. I was thrilled to see the response as the blogs went up and twitter accounts lit up with praise.
This video project, a mix of digital media relations and content creation, was one of my favourite projects this year. Not only did it help Cavalia achieve exposure after the initial buzz of opening night and develop quality video content for upcoming markets around the world, but it provided bloggers with a chance to further connect with their audience through rare video content that showed off their personalities and their blog’s point of view. Everyone wins, and we had a great time doing it.
This project was a great challenge and a sincere pleasure. Thank you to Cavalia (especially Kim, the hardest working girl in show biz) and hats off for the ladies featured in the videos below, you brave, magical people… Gillian (City and Dale), Andrea (Little Miss Andrea), Michelle (The Tiffin Box), and Lindsay (Modern Mama Edmonton).
